Children
Dentistry

With deep empathy and a lot of patience, we will introduce your child to the treatment situation. Positive impressions and a friendly atmosphere help children to feel comfortable with us.

We recommend that you bring your child as early as possible to your own check-ups or treatments. This will give your child a first insight into what goes on in the dental office, without being the center of attention. The first regular visit to the dentist should take place when the first milk teeth erupt. After that, biannual check-ups are recommended.

If you are already planning your child’s first visit to the dentist, the following tips will help to make the process more relaxed:

  • Never threaten to go to the dentist if the child, for example, does not like brushing his or her teeth. Otherwise, the visit to the dentist could be seen as a punishment.
  • Use only positive words as much as possible. Avoid words like “fear, drilling or syringe”.
  • Stay in the background during the examination or treatment – we will involve you at the right moment. In this manner the child feels that he or she is being taken seriously and – if there is a willingness to do so – he or she will cooperate better.
